Marc Jacobs, at the Spring/Summer 2013 fashion show for Louis Vuitton, with a beautiful runway designed by Daniel Buren, where models walked in pairs, like identical twin, down four escalators and on to a glass checkerboard catwalk and under a roof that seem an starry sky, the subject was clear: checkered, checkered and more, checkered, with and obsessive symmetry, was bringing to mind once again the Op Art movement of the 1960s.
Micro mini skirts, skirt suits, and monochromatic graphics dominate the show, sunshine yellow, green, white, gray, and black, were the dominant colors of this collection as well as a pretty flower stem motif.
The super pointy kitten heels with their 90 degree angles for sure will have a major influence on footwear next summer.
