FROM 'THE LAND of KINS'...

The French Designer Jean Paul Gaultier, presented  his Spring-summer 2013 Haute Couture  Collection in a Fashion show  for Paris Fashion week (PFW) on January 23, 2013 in Paris France.  An exotic catwalk inspired in the 'gypsies of Rajasthan', Known as 'The land of kings' in India
A show dominated by vibrant colors, talked from the sunset of the famous 'Thar' desert, also known as the Great Indian Desert, that led to us his quirky, theatrical, catwalk.

The Rajasthan influence  is clearly visible in a series of bright  'embroidered' looks, the 'patchwork' texture, one shoulder 'sari' style, 'scarves' and the 'salwar' pant of silks.

The focus in this 'eclectic' collection were some vibrant 'East-meets-West' looks: the Flamenco, and the Gaucho-styles fringing, mixed with Gaultier's iconic conical bra of Madonna-style, the  'Blonde Ambition' corsets, the seventies disco, and even a look from the 1950s and the 'gypsy' detailings.  Many subjects together that only a master like Gaultier can pull off, but sometimes even for him difficult to made it, which sometimes verged on the overly theatrical but beautiful collection, full of Gaultier's flavor.

The models look are complemented with  'Kohl Outlined Eyes', the 'beehive hairstyle' with a big ponytail and 'towering platforms', that complemented, and give a more eclectic accent to the new Gaultier Collection.

Enjoy the collection...
